An Overview Of Jock Itch
Jock itch is a fungal infection that gets spread in the upper thighs, buttocks and groin. It is also well known as crack fungus, bag rot, crotch fungus and crotch rot. Both men and women become victim of this monstrous infection worldwide but it is more often seen in the tropical regions. Most of the time rashes occur on the affected areas.
Its symptoms
Jock itch is a contagious disease which is caused by micro organism, fungi commonly known as dermatophytes. The growth of dermatophytes remains under control if the skin is kept dry and clean. However, this is a contagious infection and shows various symptoms like itching in anus, groin and skin folds of thighs. Sometimes red, elevated and scaly patches occur on the areas of skin where dermatophytes breed and usually these patches have clearly defined edges. Also the person gets abnormally light or dark skin which looks conspicuous.
Its preventions
